Two boys on the way down the Mississippi River on the island, where they find the boat in wood, but they quickly discover that they are not alone. Mysterious man living on the island, and when they came to meet him, the adventure gets a lot more serious.The backbone of this film is the Mississippi River. It dominates this film, because it controls the lives of the main characters in this film. This is not a film about small-town America. There is a small town where everyone knows everyone, but most of the action takes place outside the city, away from the river, and the uninhabited areas of river ecosystems. Two boys at the age of fourteen years and their families in the spirit of the river, so uncertain living from the river. Life is tough, but people are hard working, honest, and resourceful. You fully believe that they will live on the island. If you were to eat the best beans Oscar, he will get it! Totally convincing performance! All the shows were great. Not only McConaughey and two sons, but all the supporting documents actors. At first you're not sure who's who in the family. They look a little cold, but as the film progresses the characters develop. All are plausible. Women's roles, there are three, all are strong and well developed. Nice Reese Witherspoon, star of Legally Blonde, as well as Sharon Stone Casino, shows here that he can play in the sand for the role. The youngest actress Bonnie Sturdivant, as the boys got just right. Older actors are great too, Sam Shepard, who played his role with some depth, and it was good to see Joe Don Baker in a small role.All actors have played the role convincingly.
