Review:
It sounds like a bold statement? Cult classic cops and robbers caring parents will no doubt be an exception, but I believe that Michael Mann's Heat reach the level of perfection. The way to solve this gem three-hour movie down to its core, this is a film about men - strong men - and supporting roles in films that have women in them for better or worse. Take a good cop Pacino as Vincent Hanna: One of the most powerful characterization of a tragic hero I've ever seen, as he mourns the death of his third marriage with pill-addict wife. The fact that he discussed with archnemesis (De Niro) is that history is considered one of the scene's most frenetic in film history. Dialogue in this scene (at the end of the first tape, if you have a VHS version) is installed in the last half of the film well, and the two rivals to come to a mutual understanding that they did not have a hand in choosing the path that will lead them to their last meeting: personal nature, thus determining their actions that any attempt to do otherwise would be a waste of time. While I've heard other people (which I am embarrassed at the time to call a close friend) said that the Heat attractive place, I will admit that there are moments in the film that requires more than cursory attention that they give the film happened to notice every time (sorry no every filmmaker Jerry Bruckheimer), there are poignant character development in a relaxed heat ignored many. I'm thinking about the interaction between the ex-con who found a job in a restaurant with a conditional opportunistic garbage head, and a girlfriend, very proud of him to swallow his pride, not just this asshole a good punch. But there is catharsis I feel the same ex-con when De Niros character was a chance to become just another result, for old times sake. Who does not feel this man - a minor character in the film with big-time heavyweight that will shine for a brief moment. That really hot: a series of fleeting moments, some poignant, other trauma, and some very scary in the sense of inspiring romantic who, like me, you do not see black or white picture of the character and the villain, but the installation of gray that make up the various life characterization of the film that can not be found in hundreds of films combined. One of my five favorite movies of all time, the film a visual treat intense heat and pulse-pounding action. Come hungry.
