Theres no doubt about it: Meryl Streep nominated for his 17 Academy Award for his portrayal of Britains most controversial prime minister Margaret Thatcher in this biopic underwhelming otherwise. M. Streep is mesmerizing as usual, but the story mode is working screenwriter Abi Morgan and director Phyllida Lloyd? casual hallucination between elongated stages of the elderly and the mentally unstable Maggie? is a huge misfire. Scenes that recount his way from his youth in local politics, and then her 11 years of troubled management is intriguing, but they are too low and the really handle. Of course, it checks the list of famous moments go, but a deeper insight on how she ran in wouldve been nice.
