Review:
Comedy hate when I'm trying to be realistic. For some reason the writers have a feeling that they know the secret to people who really connect with the audience and get them to say, finally, someone gets it. Of course, it never works, and it's always turned off as artificial and forced the actors. Fortunately, this has not happened here in Westfeldts Jennifer directorial debut (he also wrote). There are several points where it can be a little scary, but for the most part it does solve something refreshing, simple way, and I was surprised of course that.Of room (thirty-two best friends decided not to wait and have children together) directly with the romantic horsecrap comedy book, but there are some twists and turns along the way that I thought was surprisingly dark and present something like this cheap, low-cost idea. There are several key scenes in the absurdity of it all, and I was amazed at how the script Westfeldts delved into it. Again, the film ends up being a pretty standard romantic comedy at the end of it all, so it kind of takes the hit in end.Westfeldt built for a good group of actors to play the parts of your friends, but unfortunately, he had a mind to throw someone but himself in the lead role. His co-lead Adam Scott and the supporting cast are all fantastic here, especially John Ham steals the whole movie, as far as I can tell, but the director was a cold robot actors. It's good to feel something for him or her dynamic with Scott, when I could not even buy it as a real person. Overall, though, this is a solid film of its kind, with slightly better writing, great cast for the most part, unfortunately, one God spectacular finale.
