Description:
Five high school students, all different stereotypes, is in jail, where they pour their hearts to each other and discover that they have much more in common than they thought.
Review:
John Hughes is in my opinion the king of adolescents. Each of his films is the great toe, from Sixteen Candles, Pretty in Pink (who co-wrote and produced) and Ferris Buellers Day Off was. They all have fun, and be serious at the moment, and the classics. Also, The Breakfast Club is no exception. But the film, especially 80's teen life (and, perhaps, even the teenagers life today) portrait really was (is), the best work is being done. Therefore, the well-known plot: Five schools are different (a nerd, a Jock, a delinquent prom queen, and a Loner), and high school students thrown together on a Saturday detention for various reasons. Gruff and degrading to the arrest of Richard Vernon, played by Paul Gleason compelling. As the day progresses, each member is why he tells the story of the arrest, and at the end of the day, common than ever imagined. What make a special film, the more they realize it, each character tells his story with credibility and sustainability. Jock Andrew Clark (Emilio Estevez), subject to high standards under pressure from his father, to which Mr. Clark believes that his (father) lost on the young. Nerd Brian Johnson (Anthony Michael Hall), excels in academics, but failed shop class. F. he nor his family delinquent John Bender (Judd Nelson) as an accepted external, hard masks difficult home life. Prom queen Claire (Molly Ringwald), the pressure to meet their friends, but also the problems of its parent unit. Loner Allison (Ally Sheedy) has little or no friends, dressed in black, and similar problems at home. Emotional bond they share a library of continued detention, and stereotypes can be broken? Breakfast Club does not question the stereotypical characters, and each member represents a wide range of practical examples. But, what is so much more able to adapt to a variety of contexts: prejudice / discrimination, acceptance / tolerance, diversity, class / status differences, family, business, group dynamics, etc. We also look for in others and ourselves is the only area The degree of appearance. Finally, The Breakfast Club in 1980, pop culture and social integration with the sound of Simple Minds Do not You (Forget about Me), a rich, surburban American life (haves and have nots), and superficial values in me. Reminds us that not everyone is a true diversity. We are different but all the same, one way or another.
