Review:
Im a big fan of the comic 2000AD and Judge Dredd the character since 1979, and this film completely satisfied me. They changed the right things and did all the right things. Director Pete Travis solved the problem of filming a comic, doing something that looks like anything with a comic and more like an action film shot in locations with a simple linear curve, continues rolling and never delay down.Megacity 1 is significantly lower than the comics future be so believable that it is hard to tell where the real slums of Cape Town and the final CGI block Mile High City begins. I have a nagging feeling that, in less than a century, cities like this can really exist.The Judges comics work uniform on paper, but you can not in real life - giant golden eagles, shoulder pads and known bronze plates hanging on a leather body suit one piece would only assign, balance and look stupid. The film gives us the armor that looks like it is actually used, while maintaining the exact same helmet. The effect is impressive and convincing as all this film.the plot revolves around a drug that makes time seem to slow down a hundred times, the perfect excuse for scenes of ultra slo-mo explosive bloody (and beautiful) violence anatomically correct to earn this film its rating of 18.
